2026 Active Spirit Walk & Run

Active Spirit Community Walk & Run 2KM and 5KM 2026

Indigenous Physical Activity & Cultural Circle (IPACC) is excited to host the annual Indigenous 2 km and 5 km Family community walk and run event on Friday, April 10th, 2026 at 3:30 PM PST with the Musqueam community.

IPACC would like to acknowledge and recognize that the Active Spirit Walk & Run is being held on the unceded, ancestral and traditional territory of the Musqueam people.

We would also like to acknowledge the support of The University of British Columbia, Indigenous Health and Physical Activity Program for their support and for the faculty, and volunteer students who were a great part in making this event successful.

IPACC’s vision is to establish and expand relationships between individuals engaged in physical activity by improving access to resources and promote exposure to health and wellness opportunities. IPACC’s mission is to create a community of mentors, leaders, participants, and supporters who promote physical activity as a way to health and wellness.

IPACC feels this would be a great benefit for promoting exercise, healthy lifestyles, culture and tradition. This will be a fun day for all involved and an opportunity to focus on physical fitness, healthy lifestyles and the promotion of wellness.
